It is a work that shows the cruelty and evil of the human race, the abuse and
ambition of power that blinds men and women, and the constant danger suffered when living in the midst of war. The play, winner of the National Dramaturgy Prize in 1997, tells how dogs are becoming men and women, and how their habits change abruptly and cruelly by seeking only their own well-being. How new men and women, formerly dogs, are cruel and violent beings, want to be the only race, for them and it is necessary to exterminate the others.
The play is based on a fact of real life, a small town is razed by paramilitary
groups, only dogs remain, which are hung to the trees around the ashes of what once were their homes and they are then the protagonists of history, those in charge of recounting the pain of cruelty of those ¨men and women¨ who ended their lives.
